Technique: 7 Objects to wear in fleece fabric, tulle, cords, Velcro, wool and annatto seeds.

ORGANIMA

Orgânima is a proposal for sensory experience in the form of wearable sculptures to be worn by spectators. Each piece adds to the body and reinforces the context of gestation – creation within the female's body – with clear references to uterus, breasts and umbilical cords, to be unfolded, (re)discovered and unrolled by spontaneous movements of the participants.

The experience is generated from a circular space of creation and collective experimentation guided by the presence of the modeled shapes for the body. This form of circle, explored throughout the work, also related to orifices, holes, curves, the sensual and the deep, serves as the basis for the construction of a gestational center of movement and sensation. It brings the ritualistic, integral and horizontal character that is proposed within the sensorial experience of the pieces.

Expanding the womb, symbolically reinforcing the uterus as a space that comprises and sustaining all other bodies, as a center of unlimited creation, and exposing, proposing sensitive contact with the female organs.

Work created and developed as an undergraduate final project of the graduation in Visual Arts at UNICAMP.
