  • sewing course at the Couture Lab fashion school in São Paulo.

Degree in Visual Arts at the Institute of Arts of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP): Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts (2011-2016).

 

2014 to 2016:

  • Regular Contact Improvisation classes at Casa do Lago – Unicamp with teacher Marília Carneiro during 2014 and 2015.

  • Participation in several Contact Improvisation workshops such as Sul em Contato 2015 (Porto Alegre), BH em contato 2015 (Belo Horizonte), Campinas em contato (2014) and in the International Meeting of Contact Improvisation 2016 (Ilha Bela).

 

2012:

 

  • Oil painting classes at J. Pedrazzoli gallery with teacher Josely Guimarães from the year 2001 to 2012 .

2007 to 2010:

  • 4 years of participation in the São Luís school theater group with director Tuna Serzedello.

RESUMED BIO

Mariana Gonçalves was born in São Paulo and completed her bachelor degree in Visual Arts at UNICAMP, in Campinas. She currently lives in São Paulo, where she has an open studio space - there the public can experience her work.
Mariana had additional training in sewing and manual techniques courses at Couture Lab (SP) and at the Textile Arts Center in New York (USA). In 2020 she exhibited at the TATO Gallery as part of the program Casa TATO, curated by Julia Lima and Bruno Novaes.
In 2021 she participated the residency programme LAB 1 of Kaaysa Art Residency in Boiçucanga and was one of the artists selected for the 17º Visual Arts National Salon of Guarulhos. Recently in 2022 Mariana has been awarded at both the 18º Ubatuba Art Salon and at the 28º Praia Grande Art Salon.
