RESUMED BIO

Mariana Gonçalves was born in São Paulo and completed her bachelor degree in Visual Arts at UNICAMP, in Campinas. She currently lives in São Paulo, where she has an open studio space - there the public can experience her work.
Mariana had additional training in sewing and manual techniques courses at Couture Lab (SP) and at the Textile Arts Center in New York (USA). In 2020 she exhibited at the TATO Gallery as part of the program Casa TATO, curated by Julia Lima and Bruno Novaes.
In 2021 she participated the residency programme LAB 1 of Kaaysa Art Residency in Boiçucanga and was one of the artists selected for the 17º Visual Arts National Salon of Guarulhos. Recently in 2022 Mariana has been awarded at both the 18º Ubatuba Art Salon and at the 28º Praia Grande Art Salon.
